- Next, Mike Griffith will lead us in a Call to Celebration (from Iona, adapted)
- the opening hymn will be “Sing Praise to God, You Heavens!”,
- next Mike will lead the Prayer For Peace (from Iona, adapted)
- Time with Children is next
- Invitations will be presented
- The Choir anthem will be “Love is Little” a Shaker song, arranged by Kevin Siegfried
- Mike will read from scripture: Exodus 17:1-7; Philippians 2:1-13
- Rev. Leslie Veen will deliver a sermon, “Missing the Mark”
- then we will sing the Hymn of Response, “Will You Let Me Be Your Servant?”
- next is a God’s Work in the World: appreciation of Debbie Fallehy presented by Deborah Brooks
- followed by Prayers of the People
- next will be the passing of the offering plates, offertory: “Bind Us Together” by David Blackwell
- the closing hymn will be “There’s a Wideness in God’s Mercy”,
- we will recite the Charge together
- a benediction will be offered
- followed by a postlude, Postlude on “In Babilone” by Mark Rippe
The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Care for Creation. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
