Infant – Pre-K
Young children are welcome in church! We have a dedicated family space within our sanctuary for families with young children. Age-appropriate toys and space to move around is provided.
Pre-K – Elementary
Godly Play engages children with sacred story, parable, liturgical action and silence to become more aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives and in the community of children gathered together.
Our Godly Play Master Teacher is Katherine Palmer-Collins.
Youth Group
Our Youth Group is a collaboration between Montclair Presbyterian Church and St. John’s Episcopal Church. We celebrated our joint Confirmation class this past Spring, and are currently on hiatus this school year. Please contact Katherine Palmer-Collins for more information and to get connected!
We are a church that values its children and youth, and seeks to welcome them into the center of church life. Nursery, Godly Play, and Youth Group all provide opportunities for children to have a dedicated space that is nurturing and spiritually engaging for them on Sunday morning. Children are always welcome in Sunday Celebration, and we work to make the services accessible to all ages.
The rear pews of the church have been specially designed with extra space, comfortable carpeting, books, toys, and drawing materials for children of all ages and their families to enjoy during Sunday Celebration.
