Celebration Worship Service, November 21st

In celebration this week:

  • Marcia will play the prelude, “The Ash Grove”, arr. by Dale Wood  
  • Talitha will welcome folks to Celebration.
  • Cynthia Blumgart will lead us in a Call to Celebration [World Council of Churches],
  • The opening hymn is, “Let All Things Now Living” led by Brenda Steinmetz-Vallenas,
  • Cynthia will lead us in a Prayer for Peace, (adapted from a World Council of Churches liturgy),
  • The children will be dismissed to Godly Play,
  • The Storytellers will present, “Water Most Precious”.       
  • Talitha will share a Pastoral Prayer and musical response, “Rain Down”,
  • Offering,
  • Invitations.
  • The closing hymn is “Crashing Water at Creation” and then
  • Cynthia will lead us in the Charge and Ben will offer a benediction.
  • Marcia will offer the postlude, “Nun Danket Alle Gott”, setting by JS Bach,
  • Ushers will dismiss the congregation row by row

The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
