In Celebration this week:
- The prelude will be offered,
- Talitha will welcome folks to Celebration.
- Kit Land will lead us in a Call to Celebration [adapted from an Iona prayer],
- The opening hymn is, “When the Lord Redeems the Very Least”,
- Kit will lead us in a Prayer of Reconciliation and Peace, (from Iona),
- The children will be dismissed to Godly Play,
- Kit will read Mark 13: 1-8,
- Ben will preach a sermon, “It Will All Work Out”.
- The musical response is “Farther Along”,
- Ben will share a Pastoral Prayer,
- Offering,
- Invitations.
- The closing hymn is “We Shall Overcome” and then
- Kit will lead us in the Charge and Ben will offer a benediction.
- The postlude will be played,
- Ushers will dismiss the congregation row by row.
The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
