  • Marcia will provide a prelude, “Festival Prelude on “Beach Spring”, arranged by Craig Phillips
  • Ben will welcome folks to Celebration, and
  • Clementina will lead us in a Call to Celebration (from “Weak and Poor God” by John van de Laar).
  • The opening hymn is, “God Whose Giving Knows No End”,
  • Clementina will lead us in a prayer for peace (from Iona, a prayer by John McCulloch),
  • the MPC Choir will provide special music, “Many and Great, O God, Are Thy Works”, the Dakota Hymn, words and music by Joseph R. Renville (1842),
  • then Clementina will read Mark 10:17-31.
  • Talitha will preach a sermon, “Heaven, Here and Now”.
  • The hymn of response is, “Take My Life and Let It Be”,
  • Talitha will lead us in a pastoral prayer,
  • Offering,
  • The closing hymn is, “God Be the Love to Search and Keep me”, and then
  • Clementina will lead us in the Charge and Talitha will offer a benediction.

The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
