In Celebration this week:
- Kim will provide a prelude,
- I (Rev. Ben) will welcome folks to Celebration and
- Clementina will lead us in a Call to Worship (Riffing on Psalms 24 and 104),
- The opening hymn is “Love Divine, All Loves Excelling”,
- I will lead us in a prayer for peace from “The Peace of Wild Things” by Wendell Berry
- I will read Mark 6:30-44,
- I will preach a sermon,
- The hymn of response is, “My Shepherd Will Supply My Need”,
- We will have a pastoral prayer,
- Offering,
- The closing hymn is “I’m Gonna Live so God Can Use Me”, and
- I will lead us in the Charge and offer a benediction.
- Kim will provide a postlude
The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
