MPC at MPC (a local Tahoe Experience)

“MPC at MPC”, a Tahoe Experience here in Oakland, will take place August 27th and 28th.

We may not be able to gather in Tahoe this year, but we can still have a wonderful experience of fun, community and growth. This outdoor event is open to everyone at MPC, not just folks who’ve been to “MPC at Tahoe”. We’ll be covid-safe, of course, with masks worn except for socially-distanced meals. Read on for more details — and please mark those calendars!

The Schedule

Friday Evening, August 27th

We’ll gather outdoors on the church patio at 6:30pm for some fun, Tahoe-style community: s’mores, a Talent-No-Talent Show, and more!

Saturday, August 28th

It’ll be a memorable & enjoyable day in the great Oakland outdoors, starting at 9am. The day will include:

  • Debbie’s famous Tahoe pancakes for breakfast—a delicious tradition. Plus ice cream if you like!
  • A morning program for adults led by Nancy Davis Kho, author of The Thank You Project
  • A children’s program led by our own Clementina Chacon-Garcia
  • Late morning games and activities, commonly known as “Burning Marshmallow”
  • A camp-style lunch
  • Closing Circle around 2pm

This will be a ton of fun—and our first big social gathering since Covid—so it’s not to be missed!
