In celebration this week:

  • Marcus Schneider will play a prelude, Introduction and Toccata on “Weisse Flaggen” by Alfred Fedak
  • Katie will welcome everyone to Celebration
  • Next, Cheryl Geckeler will lead us in the Call to Celebration (from Iona)
  • the opening hymn will be “Allelulia! Laud and Blessing”,
  • next Cheryl will lead the Prayer for Peace (from Iona)
  • Time with Children is next
  • Invitations will be presented
  • Special music will be offered by Marcus, “Prelude No. 13 in F# major, Op. 28”, by Frédéric Chopin
  • Cheryl will read from scripture: Genesis 21:8-21 and 25:1-11
  • Rev. Ben Daniel will deliver a sermon
  • the Hymn of Response will be “God, How Can We Forgive”
  • then we will share Prayers of the People
  • followed by passing the offering plates; the offertory will be: “Canzona VI in A minor” by Johann Jakob Froberger
  • the closing hymn will be “There is a Wideness in God’s Mercy”,
  • we will recite the Charge together
  • a benediction will be offered
  • followed by a postlude “In Babilone” by Paul Manz


The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Care for Creation. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
