Montclair Presbyterian Church is thrilled to host the Oakland Gay Men’s Chorus on April 13th at 7:30 PM for the opening night of its upcoming concert season, “What a Wonderful World,” commemorating 25 years of melodic harmony and celebrating the timeless magic of music and unity. This enchanting evening promises soul-stirring performances, captivating original compositions, and a world premiere that will leave audiences mesmerized.
Under the baton of Artistic Director Dr. Ben Riggs, the chorus invites music enthusiasts and supporters of diversity and inclusion to join them for an unforgettable celebration of love, diversity, and resilience. From beloved classics like “Seasons of Love” and “True Colors” to the world premiere of “Earth Song,” composed by Dr. Marques L. A. Garrett, this concert season promises to be a testament to the power of music in fostering unity and understanding.
“Earth Song,” commissioned especially for the chorus’ 25th anniversary, is a poignant tribute to resilience and diversity, reflecting the chorus’ commitment to creating a more inclusive world through the transformative power of music. We are honored to have Dr. Marques L. A. Garrett conducting “Earth Song” during the concerts.
