PLEASE NOTE: Celebration is back in the sanctuary! Everyone will need to wear masks and provide proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test within 3 days of each Sunday. You also may watch the service on a live stream in the courtyard or at home. To learn more about these choices, please visit mpcfamily.org/celebrate. In order to keep everyone healthy & safe, we will:
- require mask-wearing when indoors
- require either proof of Covid vaccination OR a negative Covid test from within the last three days. Please see the ushers for details
- run the furnace filtration system for ventilation, doors and windows open only when necessary

In celebration this week:
- First, Marcia will offer a prelude, “Hosanna, Loud Hosanna”, arr. by Richard Warner
- Talitha will welcome us to Celebration.
- Linda Spencer will lead us in the Call to Celebration from World Council of Churches,
- The opening song is, “All Glory, Laud, and Honor”.
- Next, Linda will lead us in a Prayer of Confession (adapted from a prayer by St. Starets Silouan, 1866-1938),
- followed by Time for Children
- There will be time for invitations.
- The MPC Choir (directed by Andrew Brown) will offer “Ain’t No Rock Gonna Shout For Me”, by Lloyd Larson.
- Linda will lead us in a scripture lesson from Luke 19:29-40.
- Ben will preach a sermon titled, “A Journey to the Center”.
- Next is the hymn of response, “Hosanna, Loud Hosanna”.
- Ben will lead us in a Pastoral Prayer
- Next, we will ordain and install Linda Spencer as a new session member.
- Offering plates will be passed, and Marcia will share an offertory, “What Wonderous Love is This?”
- The closing hymn will be, “My Song is Love Unknown”, then
- Linda will lead us in the Charge,
- Ben will offer a benediction,
- and finally, we will enjoy the postlude from Marcia, “Ride On, Ride On in Majesty”.
The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
