In Celebration this week:
- Marcia will provide a prelude, “Voluntary”, by John Stanley,
- Clementina will welcome folks to Celebration, and
- will lead us in a Call to Worship , adapted from a third century Spanish prayer.
- Steve and Marcia will lead us in the opening hymn, “The Love Round”,
- Clementina will lead us in a prayer for peace, a re-framing of “Ana B’Koach”,
- then will read John 13:1-1, John 13:34-35, John 15: 9-13
- Lynn Viale will preach a sermon,
- Marcia will play, “Andante Semplice’, by Ernest Tomlinson,
- Clementina will provide us with a Pastoral Prayer,
- Offering,
- The closing hymn is “Will You Let me Be Your Servant?”, and
- Clementina will lead us in the Charge and offer a benediction.
- Marcia will provide a postlude.
The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
