In Celebration this week:
- Kim will provide a prelude,
- I will welcome folks to Celebration and
- Clementina will lead us in a Call to Worship (riffing on Psalm 133),
- The opening hymn is “We Gather Together”,
- I will lead us in a prayer for peace adapted from a prayer by Walter Rauschenbusch,
- Debbie Fallehy will lead us in the Celebration of July Birthdays
- I will read Romans 12:9-21,
- The MPC Storytellers will perform spoken word offerings,
- Offering,
- We will celebrate communion (be sure your elements are ready if attending on Zoom)
- The closing hymn is “Amazing Grace”, and
- I will lead us in the Charge and offer a benediction.
The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
