In Celebration this week:
- Marcia will provide a prelude,
- I will welcome folks to Celebration and lead us in a Call to Worship,
- The opening hymn is “This Little Light of Mine”,
- Jim will lead us in a prayer for peace excerpted from a prayer by Bishop Eugene Robinson,
- We will congratulate our graduates,
- I will read Mark 5:21-43,
- and then I will preach a sermon titled “The Welcome Touch”,
- Jim will offer a Pastoral Prayer,
Offering, - The closing hymn is “There’s a Wideness in God’s Mercy”, and
- I will lead us in the Charge and offer a benediction.
The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
