Every two years, MPC has a Yule Feast on Twelfth Night, where the Sanctuary is turned into a dining hall. This gives the subsequent Sunday service an unusual format, with pairs of pews sharing tables so congregants are facing each other. And naturally, this makes the sermon more interactive.
Rev. Talitha discusses the dramatic events after the birth of Jesus, including the visit by the Magi, Herod’s massacre of the children, and the flight of the holy family to Egypt. And she asks the congregation: Where do you see yourself in this story? And what might it be telling you change in your life?
