This week, Ben’s sermon will tackle the difficult question of when it is appropriate to create friction and division. Perhaps this webpage may be the appropriate place to mention that I’ve got a lot of problems with you people!

It’s the first Sunday in August, which means communion and a celebration of August birthdays. If that wasn’t enough, we also have a sermon from Rev. Ben and special music. Join us!
This morning’s Celebration will feature a sermon from guest preacher Keith Geckeler, music from the MPC chamber choir, and a song by a certain famous frog.
This morning’s Celebration will feature a sermon from guest preacher Katie Kilby, as well as the mix of comfort, challenge and inspiration that we find every Sunday at MPC.
Tomorrow’s celebration will be special for two reasons. First, members of the Pacific Boys’ Choir will be joining us and that, alone, is reason enough to make joining celebration a priority, weather you’re participating in person or online.
The other reason tomorrow will be special is that I am participating in a pulpit swap. Calvin Sodestrom, the pastor of Park Blvd Presbyterian Church will be preaching in our celebration while I am preaching at Park Blvd. I think it is going to be fun for me, for Calvin, and for both congregations.
Join us for wonderful music from guest pianist Chun Mei Wilson, a sermon from Rev Ben, and a warm welcome from our community.
On Democracy Sunday, we’ll share communion, take inspiration from a Rev Ben sermon, enjoy music from the choir, and learn about the challenges facing our democracy.
On Pride Sunday, join us wearing bright colors as we gather for inspiration and community in these ongoing challenging times.
