This cryptic symbol showed up on the wall at our youth group retreat. No, it wasn’t graffiti… Susan had written it up. She challenged the youth to find a way to explain what it might mean. It’s a good puzzle.

In April of 2011, the MPC Tech Team posted a Web Survey and invited the MPC Community to fill it out. We’re happy to report that we received over 50 responses! We’ll be holding a follow-up meeting with folks to who completed the initial survey to discuss their responses and consider the future path of the website. Here are the original survey…
THIS SUNDAY, Memorial Day Weekend, we take time out to remember and honor those who have given their lives in the struggle for peace. This is at the regular celebration (10 AM) – and many thanks to the Spiritual Activists and Peacemakers who have come together to help plan the service!
One of the best songs of all time is the song from South Pacific called “You’ve Got to Be Carefully Taught.” It talks about how before you are six or seven or eight years old you have to be taught to hate people your family hates or to be afraid of people who are different from you.
