MPC at Tahoe

Mark those calendars:
Friday June 12 – Wednesday June 17, 2026

Scroll down for an overview, registration info, helpful documents, and photos from past years.

MPC at Tahoe (also known as Family Camp), by the shore of beautiful South Lake Tahoe at the Camp Richardson Resort, is for MPC families, singles and couples. Although a Presbytery tradition since the mid 70’s, this year (June 2026) will be the 53rd year that MPC has organized the event at Camp Richardson! For many of us, it is an annual tradition. Many describe the week as a key turning point in feeling more deeply connected to the MPC community. While most people stay for the whole time and enjoy letting the mountain-lake pace sink deep into their bones, some come for just a few days. You are welcome to make the plans that best fit in your schedule. You may camp, or stay in a cabin, RV, or hotel. The great thing about our Camp Richardson location is that all the housing options are in very close proximity to one another, so we are able to maintain the feeling of being there together.

Our morning program

Our adult program will be led by St. John’s SF Associate Pastor Sam Lundquist:

The Journey Is Joy.
Though the road may be rough and journey long, we are still here walking it together—and that itself is joy. Joy is our anchor in a difficult world, and as so many things try to pull us apart, it is joy that holds us together. During MPC@Tahoe 2026, we’ll be nourishing our capacity for joy through stories, music, community rituals, individual practices, and more.

Children and youth will enjoy a parallel program of fun and creative activities led by Katherine Palmer-Collins.

Registration will open soon! Please check back in March.

After you register, be sure to:

  • Call Camp Richardson at 530-494-2228 to reserve a cabin, lodge room, or RV space. Camp Richardson will collect a deposit when you make your reservation. Lodge rooms and campsites have a two-night minimum stay; most cabins have a three-night minimum. Full payment to Camp Richardson is due upon arrival. Please make your reservations by April 14 (MPC must meet a minimum reserve). Visit camprichardsonresort.com for accommodation details.  Please reference “Montclair Presbyterian Church” when making your reservations, and ask Camp Richardson about their cancellation policy.
  • To book a campsite, contact Rob Elia at robert.elia@outlook.com or 925-482-7827.
  • Please total your fees and pay online at our donations page: https://mpcfamily.org/contact-us/donate-to-mpc/. Designate your donation for “MPC@Tahoe.” Registration fees are 1/2 for a stay of one or two nights. Scholarships are available–please direct requests to Rev. Ben.
