In celebration this week:
- Scott Thompson and Kim Rankin will play a prelude, Cello Sonata in A minor, RV 43:Largo by Antonio Vivaldi
- Katie Kilby will welcome everyone to Celebration
- Martha Smith will lead us in a Call to Celebration (by Rev. Joanne Carlson Brown, revised)
- the opening hymn will be “Earth and All Stars!”,
- next Martha will lead us in the Prayer for Peace (by Rev. Beth Merrill Neel, revised)
- then it’s Time with Children
- Invitations are next
- Special Music will be “Cello Sonata in A minor, RV 43:Allegro by Antonio Vivaldi” with Scott on the cello and Kim on piano
- next Martha will read from Isaiah 65:17-25,
- Erna Kim Hackett will offer a sermon,
- the hymn of response will be, “O For a World”
- Prayers of the People are next
- then the offering plates will be passed, offertory will be “Cello Sonata in A minor, RV 43:Largo by Antonio Vivaldi
- the closing hymn will be “Let Us With a Gladsome Mind”
- we will recite the Charge
- there will be a benediction
- followed by a postlude, Cello Sonata in A minor, RV 43:Allegro by Antonio Vivaldi
The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Care for Creation. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
