In celebration this week:
- Katie Kilby will welcome everyone to Celebration following the prelude
- Tara Flanagan will lead us in a Call to Celebration (adapted from a prayer by the Caribbean Council of Churches)
- the opening hymn will be “For All The Saints”,
- next Tara will lead us in the Prayer for Peace (adapted from a prayer by Betty Hernández Carrillo)
- Debbie Fallehy will lead us in a celebration of November birthdays next
- then it’s Time with Children
- Invitations are next
- The MPC Choir anthem will be “Soon and Very Soon” by Andrae Crouch, arr. Rollo Dilworth, directed by Kim Rankin
- next Tara will read from Deuteronomy 26:1-11,
- Rev. Ben Daniel will offer a sermon, “Tell the Story”
- the hymn of response will be, “I Love to Tell the Story”
- then the offering plates will be passed,
- next we will celebrate communion together
- the closing hymn will be “I’ll Fly Away”
- we will recite the Charge
- there will be a benediction
- followed by a postlude
The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Care for Creation. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
