PLEASE NOTE: Celebration is back in the sanctuary! Everyone will need to wear masks and provide proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test within 3 days of each Sunday. You also may watch the service on a live stream in the courtyard or at home. To learn more about these choices, please visit mpcfamily.org/celebrate. In order to keep everyone healthy & safe, we will:
- require mask-wearing when indoors

- run the furnace filtration system for ventilation, doors and windows open only when necessary

In celebration this week:
- Marcia Roy will play a prelude
- Ben will welcome everyone to Celebration.
- Cynthia Blumgart will lead us in the Call to Celebration
- The opening hymn is, “Your Faithfulness, O Lord, is Sure”.
- Next, Cynthia will lead us in a Litany of Confession (adapted from a prayer by St. Anselm 1033-1109),
- Then there will be a Time With Children
- Invitations will be next.
- Then the MPC Choir, directed by Kim Rankin, will sing, “Here’s One”, with a solo by Steve McKiernan, a traditional African-American spiritual, arr. William Grant Still.
- Next, Cynthia will lead us in a scripture lesson from John 4:5-42.
- Ben will share a sermon, “Reconciling Water of Life”.
- The Hymn of Response is “I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say”,
- after which Ben will lead us in prayer.
- Pat Schwinn will share a God’s Work in the World moment about One Great Hour of Sharing,
- Then the offering plates will be passed, and an offertory will be played.
- The closing hymn will be “God of Our Life”,
- We will recite the Charge, and Ben will offer a benediction.
- We will end with a postlude.
The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Care for Creation. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
