In Celebration this week:
- Kim will provide a prelude, “Christians, We Have Met to Worship”, arr. Mark Hayes
- I will welcome folks to our first hybrid celebration,
- Jim Allardice will lead us in a call to celebration from the World Council of Churches,
- The opening hymn is “Gather Us In,”
- I will lead us in a prayer for peace,
- Debbie Fallehy will lead us in celebrating June birthdays,
- I will read Isaiah 55,
- and then I will preach a sermon titled “Now and Not Yet”,
- We will celebrate communion (so please prepare your elements!),
- The closing Hymn is “God Be With You,” and
- I will lead us in the Charge and offer a benediction.
Thank you for your faithful participation in the online celebrations during the COVID pandemic and thanks especially to Talitha, Kim, Marcia, Noël and to everyone who made videos over the last fifteen months. You are amazing.
The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
