- Shelley Kelly will read Mark 8:31-38,
- I will preach a sermon called “Beyond Sundial Religion”,
- The Special Music is “I Will Bow”, a Shaker text and tune, arr. Frederick Chatfield, sung by Kim Rankin
- Talitha will lead us in a Pastoral Prayer,
- In a special new feature—a “God’s Work in the World” video—we will hear about a call to action on climate change,
- The closing Hymn is “The Summons”, and
- I will close the service with a Family Life video.
As we near the anniversary of our last in-person Sunday service, I want to thank you for sticking with MPC’s ongoing online services. I look forward to the day when this is all in the past, but for now, we’re moving ahead and staying strong, thanks to you.
The Charge (say together) Go out into the world in peace. Have courage; hold on to what is good. Return no one evil for evil. Strengthen the faint-hearted, support the weak, and help the suffering. Honor all people. Love and serve God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
