On Sunday, March 9th, Children of Uganda’s Tour Of Light dance troupe will join us — singing, drumming, dancing, and sharing East African culture through stories and songs.
The organization benefits orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda, and this tour is their program of outreach to meet new people, raising both funds and awareness for the millions of orphans and vulnerable children in need in Uganda. They visited us in 2012 and performed for a packed house here at MPC. We are glad to welcome them back again.
There will be two shows this time around: one at 2pm and another at 5pm.
Two videos from the 2012 performance have been posted to YouTube; the first is included here:
This year the Pacific Boychoir Academy will sing with us at the 2 PM show. Whichever performance you come to, you are guaranteed to have a great time! There is no admission fee but we will pass a basket and will encourage you to donate generously to support the work of COU.
RSVP on our Facebook event if you are coming, and spread the word.
