About Paul K. Chappell

West Point graduate and former army captain Paul K. Chappell brings to light why people need to be as well trained in waging peace as soldiers are in waging war. He has created the paradigm of Peace Literacy as a skill set that addresses the root causes of conflict and develops our capacities for empathy, conscience, reason, and hope.

Chappell is the Peace Literacy Director of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation and the author of the multi-volume series, The Road to Peace, with the most recent volume titled Soldiers of Peace.* He leads a Peace Literacy curricular development team for K-12 and higher education.
