Children and Youth

Infant – Pre-K
Our professionally staffed nursery serves infants and children up to 4 years of age, or until they are ready to begin attending Godly Play. Age-appropriate toys and activities are provided.
Our Nursery Teacher is Rashno Razmkhah.

Pre-K – Elementary
Godly Play engages children with sacred story, parable, liturgical action and silence to become more aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives and in the community of children gathered together.
Our Godly Play Master Teacher is Katherine Palmer-Collins.

Upper Elementary – Middle School
Echo the Story engages children ages 9-13 in scriptural storytelling, creative response, and question-based dialogue among peers. The program provides a transition space between Godly Play and Youth Group, and it currently meets twice a month during Sunday Celebration.
Our Echo the Story teacher is Katie Kilby.

Our church is in a time of transition and does not currently have an active youth group. We are working towards re-building this program based on present needs. If there are youth in your family who are interested in getting more involved and connected at MPC, please contact Katie Kilby at katiek@mpcfamily.org.

We are a church that values its children and youth, and seeks to welcome them into the center of church life. Nursery, Godly Play, and Echo the Story all provide opportunities for children to have a dedicated space that is nurturing and spiritually engaging for them on Sunday morning. Children are always welcome in Sunday Celebration, and we work to make the services accessible to all ages.

The rear pews of the church have been specially designed with extra space, comfortable carpeting, books, toys, and drawing materials for children of all ages and their families to enjoy during Sunday Celebration.
