| on being right and being wrong.' Following the Celebration there will be a
| congregational meeting to receive Karen's resignation.
6/16/10 | This Sunday, June 20th: Children are invited to join us in Celebration as
| there will be no separate classes with so many away at Family Camp.
6/9/10 | This Sunday, June 13th: We celebrate our graduates and thank our Godly
| Play teachers. The children of MPC will serve as greeters, receive the offering
| and help lead worship with Karen and Susan. Karen will preach on the perfect

| Dukabain, MPC's International Presence and a leader in the Indonesian
| Christian Church.  She will be speaking on the rebirth of the church, following

5/19/10 | This Sunday the choir presents its spring Major Work, the splendid Utrecht
| Jubilate Deo by Handel.
| Registration continues for Family Camp and for campsites.
| RECYCLE YOUR PLASTIC: The third Sunday of each month e.g. May 23. Clean
| plastic tied in plastic bags will be picked up from MPC for recycling by the
| Men's Team. Leave your tied bags of clean plastic outside on the east side of
| the Family Room near Thornhill Drive before 11:30AM. The pickup will
| be at 11:30AM on Sunday.
5/12/10 | This Sunday, May 16th:  Karen Stokes will preach on "unintended
| consequences" using a story from Acts 16:16-34.  The staff trio of Marcia, Kim
| and Karen will provide special music, and Susan and the children will salute
| Molly as she begins to wrap up her internship at MPC.

4/28/10 | THIS SUNDAY, MAY 2ND: Seminary Intern Molly Dowell Baum will be the
| preacher for the day. She will reflect on the sacrament of Communion, which
| we will then celebrate together. YOUTH GROUP RETREAT: This past weekend
| 15 youth and leaders were at Lake Tahoe enjoying time together and time to
| talk about the choices we make in our lives. CELEBRATE MOTHER’S DAY AT
| OUR PANCAKE BREAKFAST, SUNDAY MAY 9, after church in the Family Room,
| prepared for us by our senior high Youth Group.
4/21/10 | This Sunday, April 25th: Celebrate "Blue Earth Day." As we mark the 40th
| annual Earth Day, we reflect on the gift of our blue planet, affirm the life-giving
| power of water and explore the crisis of its increasing scarcity. Karen Stokes
| and the SPLASH group worked together in planning this service

4/7/10 | THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 11TH: Karen Stokes will preach on ''Reasonable
| Doubt,'' a theological reflection on her experience of serving on a jury during
| the season of Lent. We will also celebrate the sacrament of baptism.
3/31/10 | THIS SUNDAY, April 4 is Easter! Come for our traditional Celebration with
| music from the Barrelhouse Jazz Band, special music from the MPC Choir,
| communion, color and celebration. Plus sparkling cider and goodies in the
| Courtyard following the service.
| MAUNDY THURSDAY: We will commemorate the Last Supper
| shared by Jesus and his disciples. Join us for supper and fellowship in the
| Family Room; then to the sanctuary for a special service. The whole

3/24/10 | THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 28: Celebrate Palm Sunday and the beginning of
| Holy Week. The children and youth of MPC have created a Processional
| to celebrate Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
