Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.

FAMILY HOUR follows
the Sunday morning Celebration. Coffee and goodies in the Family
Room; catch up with friends, watch the kids running around, meet
newcomers and visitors.
There a birthday celebration each month for family members born
in that month. It can be a busy time with special events and Committee
meetings.

| TOWNHALL MEETINGS:
are held from time to time after the Sunday Celebration to discuss
Church plans, the Church budget, and other matters. We typically meet
in the Sanctuary at 11:20 and you can bring your coffee with you.
Childcare is provided. |

FAMILY NIGHT FRIDAYS: On the last Friday of the month we
frequently share a Family Dinner in the Family Room & Thornhill
Room. Child care provided after the meal.
A couple of examples: Friday, Feb 26: a free evening including
a delicious supper followed by a showing and discussion of the award-winning
documentary, "10 Questions for the Dalai Lama."
This engaging film with its magnificent photography of Tibet and
the Himalayas, touches on Tibet's history and its struggle for independence.

June 26 featured DI PAGEL, speaking about The Spirituality of the
Child and Godly Play. Di is an international Godly Play trainer,
as well as a leader in children and family ministry in the area.
An Italian dinner was served at 6PM. |
ADULT EDUCATION
Again this season we offer a wonderful variety of interesting classes.

YOUTH GROUP
Sunday Evening Meetings during the school year. Our youth program
reflects the basic values and objectives of our Church. Nurturing
relationships among young people is of highest priority to us. Topics
that are of interest to Youth and reflect our values as a community
of faith, also including time for games and socializing. More

The Men's Team is a fellowship of men gathering for good talk, church-related

FORUM ON GLOBAL LAND GRAB
Anuradha Mittal, internationally known activist and speaker on food and economics, came to MPC on Friday, June 4, 2010 to talk about Oakland Institute's new report "(Mis)Investment in Agriculture: The Role of the International Finance Corporation in the Global Land Grab".

”THE APPLE OF NOBODY’S EYE,”
a collage of powerful and provocative stories written and performed
by our own Jean Gregory under the direction of Virginia Abascal,
a member of MPC and winner of multiple directing awards. Saxophonist
Kevin Brown’s music echoes Jean’s 30-year teaching experiences
in inner-city Chicago. Dates are Friday, September 25, 7:00 PM and
Sunday, September 27, 2:30 PM. More . .

WOMEN’S 2009 FALL RETREAT TOO PLACE AT ST. COLUMBA’S
RETREAT HOUSE IN INVERNESS: The retreat took place on Saturday, September
26th. The retreat was led by Marilyn Chandler McEntyre, poet and teacher.
The cost was $40 and this included lunch. Also, there are a few available
accommodations at the retreat house for anyone wanting to come for
Friday night. Contact Rebecca at the MPC office to reserve a spot
